Wealthy more likely to lie or cheat: researchers →
“One experiment invited 195 adults recruited using Craigslist to play a game in which a computer “rolled dice” for a chance to win a $50 gift certificate. The numbers each participant rolled were the same; anyone self reporting a total higher than 12 was lying about their score. Those in wealthier classes were found to be more likely to fib, Piff said.

How my papers get finished
Me: Oh boy, this is going to take forever. I gotta get this done quick!
The Paper: Yea you should.
Me: Alright, there we go, got my Intro done and thought about my main content so I'm looking good. Can't take my foot off the gas now though.
The Paper: Yea...but you've got a LOT done so give yourself a break.
Me: I know right? Now I have like 1/3 of it done. Wow, I am making good time.
The Paper: Oh shit! Yea you did! You totally are gonna have enough time, don't sweat it. Take a break, champ!
Me: Yea, that sounds good.
[Fast forward a few days]
Me: Oh shit, what happened? Why am I not done yet?!
The Paper: I don't know. You were really close though.
Me: (Facepalm)

Taco Bell sends kids to college
Who would’ve known?
I think I’m one of 3 people on Tumblr who is watching the NBA All-Star Game festivities. Jeremy Lin = #Linning →
Great article by Les Carpenter. Lots of things that make this a unique story that is going to have everyone’s eyes glued to the TV.
They sent him to the D-League. When the Knicks put him on a plane to Erie in late January, Lin was terrified that last year was happening again, that his NBA dream was gone, that he was destined to be an interesting footnote in a long list of international...

M.I.A. @ the Super Bowl
Wow, you’d think this was the first time anyone watching football field has seen someone use the middle finger. Acceptable? No. News-worthy? Shouldn’t be.

What a disaster. The damage done is pretty significant, but I want to tell her “It’s not too late! You can still try and salvage the wreckage. Learn from the Netflix debacle and the President of the Worst CEO 2011 winner Reed Hastings. People will forgive you even after you screw up once, twice, or even three times so long as you try and make things right.”
